The Widow across the Street 2/12/08 6:45pm
Well here is the story. There is a lady who lives across the street from my house. Today she was shoveling the snow. As you already know she is a widow by the title of this post. Her husband died a couple years back. I remember looking out my window and seeing the paremedics outside taking the man out on the stretcher. So anyway I was looking out the window I was like dang when are we going to have a day with no snow. Then I saw this kinda old lady across the street and I remembered she was a widow. I felt so bad she was out shoveling the snow. She lives by herself and I felt like throwing a sweater on and telling her you know what you should go inside and stay warm. Then it just hit me. Why does god do this. I know its for a reason. I was thinking of why. I felt like she didnt deserve it. Now I said to myself, god needed him maybe for an example to appreciate. Im not saying she didnt appreciate him but its an example for us. When someone is gone and when they are gone they are not coming back. The death of her husband maybe showed her a way of being stronger. Also for me, God does things for a purpose. Not to hurt us but to teach us a lesson. That is why people come and go everyday.
